If you think about breath and the act of breathing for a moment, it would seem that this simple act should be so natural and should come to us all naturally. The regularity of breath is calming and vital to everything we do. Without breath nothing else matters-it's the first thing we do upon entering this world and the last thing we do as we leave it. It has the capacity to calm us, to help us deal with excitement and fear. It can accelerate or calm our heart rates and can work wonders upon anxiety and our reaction to it.
When focus is brought to breath it forces us to become present and mindful. Breathing and breath are the center of everything we are and everything we do.
BREATHE Power Yoga Studio was founded with this in mind.
The profound potential that breath and the act of breathing has upon us holds deep meaning for Vicki and Nancilee, sisters and co-owners of BREATHE Power Yoga.

Vicki's yoga practice has kept her centered for more than 30 years. She has trained with various local yogis and masters around the United States, Mexico, Italy and France. She holds an RYT 500 certification and is a registered yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance.
Vicki is a motivational teacher and expert practitioner and is committed to sharing the benefits of the practice with others.
Opening BREATHE Power Yoga has been a lifelong dream for her.
Vicki is an exceptional sales and management professional with an established career in retail and human resources management. She currently serves as consultant specializing in retail and human resource issues and as an adjunct business professor. She is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Business and Italian and French and earned an MBA from Point Park University.
When not on her mat, Vicki enjoys cooking, engaging in mixed media art, spending time with friends and family and traveling.
Michelle has been practicing yoga for 30 years and teaching for half that time. She began her journey with Kundalini and has studied many different yoga styles including Hatha, Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Iyengar, Bikram locally and nationally and has attended many retreats and workshops on yoga and meditation. She is a 200 hour RYT registered with Yoga Alliance.
Her love of yoga stemmed from being a dancer and she grew to love not only the asana practice but the philosophy of yoga as well.
One of her favorite phrases is “it is called a yoga practice, not a yoga perfect”!
You are doing yoga if you show up on your mat, ready to listen to your body and soul, and have fun at the same time.
Nancilee has been practicing yoga for over 30 years and has studied with masters in Pittsburgh, across the United States and in Europe, including Paris and Rome.
The positive ripple effect that the practice has had upon her life has been nothing short of transformative.
She is a registered yoga teacher and holds an RYT 500 certification with Yoga Alliance.
Opening BREATHE Power Yoga with her sister has been a dream realized for her!
She is also an attorney with an MBA, a business consultant, a certified fundraising executive (CFRE) and former lobbyist for higher education. She has spent most of her professional career working with local colleges and universities, including CMU and Pitt.
She is a 3-time graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and
when not on her mat, she enjoys music, traveling, cooking, mixology and four-legged furry friends.
Marissa has been practicing yoga for more than ten years and has been teaching since 2016 at various studios in Pittsburgh and Tampa. She received her 200 hour RYT yoga certification in vinyasa yoga. She is currently working on her 500-hour certification and a mindfulness coaching certification. She enjoys incorporating yoga philosophy and mindfulness practices into everyday life.
Off the mat, Marissa is an environmental consultant and has a MS in Environmental Science. When not working, she enjoys hiking, camping, running, and being outdoors.
After taking a few years off from practicing yoga, Sheri returned to the studio in fall of 2019. She quickly realized how much she missed yoga and needed it in her life. Besides loving the practice, Sheri’s teachers were inspiring and provided her with the tools and confidence to enroll in yoga teacher training, something she wanted to do for a long time, but never had the courage.
Through the advice of her yoga teachers, Sheri enrolled in teacher training and earned her 200 hour RYT.
Sheri believes that Yoga Is For All. In her class, you can expect to move, breathe, smile and find confidence to apply to life both on and off the mat.
Outside of the studio, Sheri enjoys gardening, traveling, and performing improv at local comedy theaters.

Abi was introduced to yoga through Nancilee and Vicki at BREATHE and is grateful for the peace, balance and positive impact that the practice and the yoga community have brought to her. When not on her mat, she can be found pursuing her career as a stylist and hair designer at Salon Rena in Gibsonia. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her two pups, Stella and Elvis.
BREATHE is located in the second floor loft of Perrotte Plaza, the large green building located just in front of the Kohl's plaza on Rt. 8.
